Connection Across Time

We can learn from WWI that when one or more country has enough power or fears that another country might have more power than that one, it will blame another one for something drastic and drag them down into the dirt. It is the case with the war on terror in Iraq and Iran. We fear that these countries will gain enough power with a dictator and attack us and conform us into them. I do not believe that one nation or religion should be blamed for the attack on the World Trade Towers, even if a majority of them live in that nation and practice that religion.

We also have learned throughout history that when the people are in termoil and need a strong leader, they will accept something they normally would never do. This is such the case in the U.S. when we voted for President Obama. I do believe that he is trying to do what he thinks is best for the country, at least I hope he is, but if we as a nation were not in need of a strong leader, he would never have been elected.
